Summer Open House
For current members and families who are curious!
See our new location and find out about our exciting plans for 2023-2024. Join us for an on-site Open House on Monday evening, August 7, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Although Advent Lutheran Church will still be renovating some of the rooms, you’ll be able to get a peek at the spaces where classes will be held. You’ll also be able to meet our teachers, view curriculum and materials, and get answers to your questions.
At 6:30, we'll begin with a general session in the lovely Sanctuary of Advent Lutheran. You'll learn how our homeschool academy makes it easy and possible to homeschool your student in grades six through twelve. If you're not familiar with how our homeschool academy operates, this will give you a brief overview. We'll also describe our new plans for Friday classes--Enrichment Day at MMA--including classes that are open to parents.
From 7:00 to 8:30, feel free to tour the classroom wing at your leisure and spend time in the Fellowship Hall. Enjoy refreshments and stop by the tables to meet teachers and get information about their classes. Mingle with other homeschooling families. Make connections for social activities and carpooling. Take a walk outside to view the lovely green spaces that surround the building. We want you to appreciate and feel comfortable with our new home!
This event is open to the public. Feel free to invite friends who haven't joined Mid-Metro Academy but are thinking about or already are homeschooling their students in grades six through twelve. Students going into grade six and above are welcome to attend with their parents. Our teachers love to meet their prospective and incoming students!
